For children 0 - 18 months Staff Ratio 1:3

At Active Angels Nursery we fully understand the needs of babies, and are dedicated to providing the best possible care for children in our Baby Angels Unit.

Babies will receive our undivided love and attention, with plenty of stimulation at all times. We will follow any feed times or regular patterns that have already been established with babies.

Parents/carers are asked to complete an individual diary about their baby’s routine. We will be only too pleased to follow any instructions - nothing is too much trouble when it comes to your loved ones.

There are lots of toys for babies to play with, and floor space for crawling and physical play. Babies have chnace to explore, experiment and have fun with lots of differnet resources and equipment. they enjoy cornflour play and jelly play and even shaving foam play. you name it they do it here at active angels.  There is a section of the room, which is used as a sleeping area. There is a changing room adjoining the baby unit, for use by the baby unit only.

Meal Times:

The baby room has its own kitchen, where the children’s food will be stored. We ask parents to provide bottle feeds already prepared for babies on formula milk. Parents will need to ensure that all bottle feeds are clearly labeled with their childs name. We also ask parents to supply their own food (either jar, packet or homemade) until their child is 12 months old. When a child reaches 12 months, he/she can then be introduced to nursery meals.

Diaries:

To enable parents to monitor and know their childs routines, staff will complete their childs diary daily. These diaries include details about a childs bottle feeds, meal times, sleep times, nappy changing times and activities undertaken. A member of staff will discuss this information with parents when they collect their child. Your childs diary will need to be brought into nursery daily.

Development Profiles:

These profiles enable staff to track and chart children’s development, and to identify what is needed to ensure children’s progress. This helps staff to plan activities for the children. These Development Profiles are also very valuable for parents to track their childs progress at nursery.
